Vikings’ star wide receiver Justin Jefferson was angry and frustrated the entire game against the Green Bay Packers. The Packers had managed to keep Jefferson quiet for the entirety of the game and held him to his career-low stat of one catch for 15 yards. This caused him to hit a sideline official with his helmet by accident, of course, without causing any injury to the official.
The Packers entered the game to win as it was a do-or-die game for them if they wished to stay alive in the playoff race. Green Bay got the magical start they needed from Keisean Nixon’s 105-yard kick return touchdown. The Packers went on to lead the game 41-3 until the end of the third quarter. The Vikings made a feeble attempt to win by scoring two touchdowns in vain.
Minnesota Vikings’ embarrassment on the Lambeau Field made it appear to the NFL pundits that their 12-3 record was fraudulent. The Packers’ defense contained the Vikings’ offense by cutting off Justin Jefferson. The running game didn’t get much traction and quarterback Kirk Cousins was unable to find a receiver under pressure.

Justin Jefferson heavily criticized for throwing his helmet at the sideline official
Justin Jefferson was unable to help out his team from the ditch they were in due to the great coverage by Green Bay cornerback Jaire Alexander. At the end of the first quarter, Alexander broke a pass intended for the 23-year-old wideout and hit the “Griddy,” Jefferson’s signature move, and taunted him. From this point on, Jefferson started getting irritated at both the Packers and his quarterback for being unable to throw him a decent pass.
Kirk Cousins was unable to overcome the Packers’ defense and ended the night completing 18 of 31 passes for 205 yards, one touchdown, and three interceptions. In the second quarter, Cousins threw his second interception of the game to Packers safety Adrian Amos. This was the tipping point for Jefferson, who harbored so much anger that, in frustration, he almost injured a sideline referee.
Jefferson removed his helmet in frustration as Amos went out of bounds after intercepting Cousins and was looking to throw the helmet to the ground. But he accidentally hit the ref but didn’t incur any penalty. He quietly went and sat on the bench once the altercation was over. However, fans on Twitter did not approve of WR’s behavior stating that he could’ve seriously injured the official.
Jaire got him on an island 💀

First, keep your helmet on. Second, know where you are at. Third, your a role model. Ejected and suspended for 6 games with out pay next season.

Jefferson should have been ejected from the game.

Completely unacceptable behavior. The league will absolute give him the absolute maximum punishment.

The Minnesota Vikings didn’t lose anything after their defeat to Green Bay, but it does raise whether they are a good team or not. With the playoffs nearing, the Vikings really need to end their season with a win and enter the postseason with a winning mentality if they wish to prove the critics wrong about them reaching there by fluke.
