The final week of the regular season has officially kicked-started and had one of the most beautiful moments in the history of any sport. Before the Jacksonville Jaguars and Tennessee Titans took their place on the ground to start the game, both teams came together and prayed for Damar Hamlin.
In what can only be described as the epitome of football, the entire teams of the Jaguars and the Titans came together as one knelt and prayed for the speedy recovery of the Buffalo Bills’ safety after his horrific injury.
Everyone in the league applauded both teams for showing their support for one of their brothers before starting the game. Damar Hamlin was overwhelmed by the love he continues to receive and he shared a beautiful message to all the teams and fans, thanking them for their support.
Damar Hamlin continues to receive love and support from teams
Hamlin suffered a cardiac arrest after he tackled Cincinnati Bengals’ wide receiver, Tee Higgins. After making the play, the 24-year-old safety fell to the ground unconscious and was administered CPR before being transferred to the UC Medical Center. After a tough 72 hours with doctors working around the clock trying their best to save Hamlin, he finally regained consciousness and has been breathing on his own.
Hamlin face timed the entire Bills team and had a talk with them, thanking them for looking after his family and offering their support to him and his charity. Damar shared a message seeing the Jaguars and the Titans come in solidarity: “The love is felt and extremely real. No matter race or religion everybody coming together in prayer! (praying hands emoji, heart emoji).”
Fans on Twitter were extremely proud of both teams for their gesture and applauded them for their pure and selfless act.
