UFC Commentator Joe Rogan praises 'smart drugs' for enhanced verbal recall: ‘It seemed like I had an extra gear’

AUSTIN, TEXAS: UFC commentator Joe Rogan has been taking the health supplement Onnit’s Alpha Brain for quite a long time and believes that it helps in verbal recall. He endorses the product on a regular basis via his appearances on the 'JRE' podcast and at the UFC.

The Alpha Brain is essentially a nootropic which is also known as 'smart medications' or 'cognitive enhancers.' These are dietary supplements that help in improving various mental processes including memory and concentration.

Joe Rogan praises Alpha Brain

Rogan discussed the history of Onnit with Aubrey Marcus back in 2014. He talked about the advantages he felt he had thanks to Alpha Brain.

“It was the first time that I ever had said anything where I really felt like I didn’t want to do anything without it. Like, I felt like if I was going to do stand-up if I was going to do the UFC like I wanted to be fully charged,” Rogan said.

He added, “You know because what I noticed when I started taking it is one of the immediate things that I noticed was that I had a better recall of words. That’s the frustrating thing, where you’re like ‘What is the word?’ That wasn’t happening as much and my ability to form sentences seemed smoother. It seemed like I had an extra gear like I was one step ahead of conversations.”

Rogan is not a newcomer to the supplement field. He has tried many supplements throughout his life and has even discussed them frequently. Rogan has made no investment in Onnit, yet he still owns half of the business.
