Tyreek Hill has some bad blood with the Kansas City Chiefs over his trade to the Miami Dolphins. Hills recently opened up about his trade to the Dolphins in an interview with OutKick this week. The Dolphins WR revealed some interesting details about the Chiefs.
“A lot of guys, when they get paid, they stop wanting to get better. And I feel like when the Kansas City Chiefs traded me, I kind of took that personal.” Tyreek Hill stated in an interview with the OutKick. “So now what really motivates me is I feel like they basically just threw me to the side, like I was trash or something.”
Everyone thought that the trade that happened was because Tyreek Hill needed to change the team and not the other war around. The Dolphins were elated when they found out that Tyreek Hill was in the market for a trade, as they thought that the 28-year-old in untouchable on the field.
Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel couldn’t contain his excitement over the availability of Hill and asked the management to give him everything the player asks for. “This is why I’m not a GM. I’m like, ‘Tell them they can have everything.’ … I thought he was untouchable.”
The Chiefs parted ways with the six-time Pro Bowler due to salary cap issues and stated that the WR wanted to get paid after their NFL Super Bowl run in 2020.
“Not the Chief’s fault, he requested a trade”: Twitter calls out Tyreek Hill over his hypocrisy
Some people pointed out on Twitter that it was Tyreek Hill who demanded a trade and not the other way around so he should accept his decisions and stop trying to gain sympathy from the people.
There were also claims that the Chiefs made Tyreek who he is and he is nothing without the star QB Patrick Mahomes. Tyreek was deliberately called out by Twitter who believe that the Chiefs helped him to become who he is now and he is throwing dirt at those same people. Hypocrisy is at its peak.
Below we have compiled some tweets as reactions to the statement given by Tyreek Hill on the Chiefs.
Yep @cheetah .. they sure did! Poor fella. They drafted you when 31 other teams passed on you.. FOUR TIMES.. they paid you $40M… and stood by you when accusations were rampant of abuse. I mean… clearly, they treated you like trash!

Tyreek Hill became the highest paid receiver in football & the highest paid non QB in NFL history, gets to live in Miami & is still trying to defend his decision and trying to make it seem like it was the Chiefs fault. You got PAIDDD & live in Miami, Florida lmao it’s all good

Ofc there’s no context. He’s just using that mindset to be better, obviously he still loves KC

@cheetah is twisting it! The Chiefs took a chance on him and stood by him when most wouldn't. He earned a SB ring here. He was offered a generous contract but he wanted more. Nothing wrong with chasing the bag after getting the ring just be honest about it. Ty CHOSE to leave.

The chiefs drafted you in the late rounds, developed you to the player you are. Have fun going 6-11 in Miami
