In his hometown of Bambali, a statue of Senegal international Sadio Mane has been spotted. The 30-year-old forward, who spent six years at Liverpool before joining Bayern Munich in the summer, is still doing amazing work in Bambali, a village in southern Senegal.
Sadio Mane has contributed substantial sums of money to alleviate the isolated village’s conditions, including £500,000 for a new hospital and most recently, a reported £200,000 for the building of a new secondary school. Additionally, he is alleged to have provided funding for a gas station and a post office to benefit the residents.
A Senegalese artist created and erected a statue of Mane to honor his hero-like reputation in the neighborhood. The statue purportedly depicts Mane conducting a celebration during the 2021 African Cup of Nations. Recently, a photo of the statue in Bambali has been making the rounds on social media.
Here are some Twitter reactions from Sadio Mane’s fans:
This is the total insult to the hero after so much effort he puts on football, this is how this artist view him 😭

It was a good idea but the architectures were too lazy. They sculptured a different thing all together.
