This Bride Demanded That a Wedding Guest Cover Her Tattoos and Dye Her Hair a ‘Natural Color’

It's currently peak wedding season, which means it's also peak nightmare-wedding-story season. From a bride who wouldn't hire a gay makeup artist to the woman who asked a guest to change because she thought her dress had too much white in it, the Internet is filled with tales of wedding-day demands gone awry.

Take this latest example of a bride who asked that one of her wedding guests change her hair color and cover her tattoos in order to attend the big event. According to the Daily Mail, the guest shared screenshots of the text exchanges documenting the requests, and they soon went viral.

"Hey so with my wedding, I wanted to ask if you could please make sure your tattoos are covered & and could you maybe fix your hair up so it's a natural [color]?" the bride wrote. "We've put a lot of work into our theme and I'm sorry but your look clashes with it." She even suggests some ideas, like wearing long sleeves or a jacket, and says that she's also made a similar request of another guest in case they want to go shopping together.

The guest had a pretty natural response. "Umm the wedding is in summer so I'm not sure I could wear a long sleeve dress or jacket? I'm really sensitive to [heat] so I just don't think I can do that if it's a hot day," she wrote. "I can look into a spray I guess, I definitely can't dye it because it's been a lot of work to lighten it to this blue and I'm planning to go a [bit] darker but yeah. I'll look into some options for my hair."

Weather and guest comfort be damned, the bride pretty much doubled down on her request. "I know it's hot [but] it's my one day, so if you can't suck it up I feel like you don't really care about me or [my fiancé] and probably shouldn't come," she continued. "I'm not asking much and it's not my fault you get hot…. [My fiancé] is in full agreement with me on this so don't bother texting him like I know you're planning to."
