Tom Coughlin's decision to leave the New York Giants is something of an enigma. It leaves both Eli Manning and most Philadelphia Eagles fans quite sad.
That doesn't happen everyday.
Sure, sure. They got their Super Bowls but tell me the last time an opposing team really feared the Giants?
Anyway.
Coughlin gave something of an emotional farewell this afternoon and it almost brought Eli to tears.
“[Eli] thinks he’s the reason that I’m—Eli, it’s not you,” Coughlin said. “It’s not you. It’s us. We win, we lose, together. Remember, when we lose, I lose. When we win, you guys win. That’s the way it is. That’s the game. I know what it is.”
Sadly, they lost together one last time on Sunday. Shoulda been you, Shurmur!
