Recap of the Previous Chapter
Previously in the manhwa, Pace, a vampire, targeted and invaded Heinz land after brainwashing and controlling 5,000 monsters and unleashing them on Heinz territory. When Davey questions him about it, Pace smugly claims that he did it to make the nobility mad. Pace discovers that Davey is far stronger than he had thought when he and his accomplice cross blades.
Pace gets enraged, and after Davey taunts him, Pace turns on his human subordinate, using his life essence to strengthen and evolve into a more powerful beast. Davey recalls his training with the Sword Master, during which he battled illusions of vampires far stronger than Pace and the vampires he was presently confronting. Davey feels relieved that his training was finally put to use.
Pace assures Davey that his Blue Flag is powerful enough to kill him, but Davey isn’t willing to go for it just yet. Davey begins torturing pace with his holy power, beginning with a low level and progressing to a higher level with each strike. Pace tries to mock Davey by claiming that his attacks are insufficient to stop his transformation.
