What’s next for Terence Crawford
After becoming the undisputed champion for the second time in his career, Crawford will look forward to doing it again. Bud will most likely make his move to the light middleweight division and fight for titles there. This time, however, things will be comparatively easier for Crawford. The 154 lbs division already has Jermell Charlo as an undisputed champion, which saves Bud the hassle of fighting multiple opponents.
However, Charlo has his hands full at the moment with fighting Mexican boxer Canelo Alvarez. The fight takes place on 30th September and Charlo will have to climb two weight classes to fight for Canelo’s titles. So boxing fans will have to wait a long time for a fight between Crawford and Charlo to materialize.
Before fighting Charlo, however, Crawford will have to take care of Errol Spence Jr. yet again. According to their contracts, both fighters could invoke a rematch within 30 days of their fight. With Spence Jr. not happy with his performance, he has called out Bud for another bout to claim the undisputed titles. While an exact timeline for the rematch is yet to be provided, it is confirmed that the bout will take place at 154 lbs. So, before going for the undisputed champion status yet again, Bud will have to deal with The Truth once more.
