It is pretty amazing how different each of the shrines is in Tears of the Kingdom. They’ll each challenge your puzzle-solving skills to a higher degree than the shrines did in Breath of the Wild.

When you first find the Mayausiy shrine, you may initially be fooled into thinking it is a simple game of stacking blocks. But the puzzles inside can be pretty tricky. We’ll show you how to find the shrine and complete the block puzzles inside.

Where To Find Mayausiy Shrine

Mayausiy Shrine Map

This particular shrine can be very difficult to find if you don’t know what to look for. Deep inside the Tanagar Canyon you’ll find the Forgotten Temple. This was an optional area in The Breath of the Wild, but it plays a more important part in the story in Tears of the Kingdom.

After learning more about the geoglyphs from Impa, you’ll eventually stumble across the temple by completing the second part of her quest. Once inside the temple, you’ll find the shrine just before the map room.

Block Puzzle One

Mayausiy Shrine Puzzle 1 solution

Once you enter the shrine, you’ll find yourself in a room with two block structures. Your goal is to make the structure on the right match the left by using the nearby block pieces. For this first puzzle, grab the first block and place it on the left side. Then grab the second block, turn it sideways, and place it in the remaining space.

After connecting both pieces, the whole structure will click into place and open the door to the next area. On your way there, you’ll need to take out a soldier construct before you can proceed to the next puzzle.

Block Puzzle Two

Mayausiy Shrine Puzzle 2 solution

While the first puzzle was pretty simple, the second one is much more complex. There are three unique pieces you’ll need to fit into the structure, each of which fits well in the same spots. But there is only one specific placement that will work.

Start by grabbing the largest piece on the right and placing it on the back side of the structure. Now stack the next two pieces by the ledge and climb up to get the chest. There is a Large Zonai Charge inside.

Now hop down and grab the second-largest piece and flip it on its head before fitting it into the corner of the structure. With that in place, you’ll just need to rotate the small piece to fit the open spot to complete the puzzle and open the door to the Light of Blessing. Well done!
