There are few enemies in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom that can easily overwhelm more than the Hinox. These giant, one-eyed, troll-like creatures can pummel you with their powerful hits and have a large pool of health that you will need to whittle down if you are to be successful.
The Awakening armor set in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom gives Link his iconic look from Link's Awakening, but it can tough to find. Here's how.
Further, there are a lot of Hinox scattered both around the land of Hyrule, and also throughout the Depths. There are a whopping total of 40 Hinox roaming above ground and a pretty sizable 29 that are in the Depths. So if you are looking to wipe out the Hinox from Hyrule, you have quite a journey ahead of you.
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is the sequel to 2017's Breath of the Wild. Journey across Hyrule once again as Link to save the world from Ganondorf. With a fantastic new suite of Zonai powers and countless changes made to the lands of Hyrule, you'll explore the sky, Depths, and surface of Hyrule and enjoy countless hours of adventure in this phenomenal game.

Hinox Locations In Hyrule (Above Ground)
The 40 Hinox that can be found across the entire map of Hyrule are scattered around just about every corner of the world. You can often find them sleeping, leaving them open to get the first hit or two in. You can also take on a few quests that will have you hunting them down for an NPC or character.
Either way, here is a breakdown of where you can find each one, including the region, coordinates, and what type of Hinox they are:

Hinox Rewards
Taking out a Hinox can give you a good amount of materials that provide a handful of uses. Every time you take out a Hinox, you will be given a couple of Hinox Guts, as well as a couple pieces of fruit, almost like the world making it up to you for the health you surely lost in the fight.
Hinox Guts are useful for a couple of different reasons in the game. First off, they can be added to an Elixir to help boost the duration of that Elixir's effects longer than they normally would be. Simply add the Hinox Guts to a recipe and you can take advantage of this trait.
Second, you can use them to upgrade the Soldier's Armor set at a Great Fairy Fountain. You will need Hinox Guts to get the Soldier Armor set to its third level, along with:
200 Rupees
Lizalfos Tail
Flint
So if you are looking to use this gear and bring it to its top level, you are going to need Hinox Guts at some point for it.
The three monster parts that you can pick up from a Hinox are:
Hinox Horn
Hinox Tooth
Hinox Toenail
The uses for these materials is all for Fusing with your weapons. Specifically, the Horn gives you a +12, the Tooth gives you +8, and the Toenail gives you +7. None of them serve any purpose in cooking or creating elixirs, so only worry about how much damage they can add to your weapons.
And while the Hinox parts can be useful to add damage to any weapon, there are a few that just stand out from the rest due to their base damage and conversely, the added damage from the parts. The best weapons to use with Hinox parts are:
