Spring Fashion Trend: Jeans With Cool Details on the Seat by Vetements, Marc Jacobs

When it comes to fitness today, everyone it seems, is intent on getting a perfectly pert butt. (We've all be down the #Khlofit rabbit hole on Instagram, haven't we?) Now, fashion designers are taking the rear-end obsession to stylish new heights with a denim trend that, yes, is all about the derriere.

The newest spring denim trend features embellishments on the seat, which bring attention to your posterior. It all began last season when the super-cool French label Vetements (pronounced vet-ma) pronounced featured a pair of relaxed-leg jeans made of two different pairs sewn together. The back of the jeans (which amazingly, take six hours to produce by hand) feature a cut-and-sewn seat that brings the sexy back to the mom-jean look. The Vetements pieces became an instant hit with the street-style set, on influencers like Alexa Chung and Pernille Teisbaek and now, designers such as Marc Jacobs and Alexander Wang are jumping on board in new and interesting ways. Only yesterday, Kendall Jenner Instagrammed her striped Marc Jacobs flares with a star seam on the butt (an image that'll surely be seared into the pop culture lexicon). Alexander Wang, on the other hand, is offering custom embroidery on the jeans his fall 2016 collection, with phrases, such as "$UCK IT" or "TOP BITCH."
