Shang-Chi Star Simu Liu Considers One Profession Extremely Challenging After Following Jackie Chan’s Footsteps

Simu Liu is best known for starring as the titular character in Sang Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. And his performance and stunts in the film were highly praised.

But fans have noticed his stunts resemble Jackie Chan’s charisma. Why? It’s because the actor followed Chan’s footsteps and committed to do the stunts on his own.

Though doing stunts all by oneself is not as easy as pie, Liu beat the odds and did it. Looks like he finds doing stunts easy rather than doing that one profession, which he finds a hard nut to crack.

A Job that Simu Liu Finds Extremely Difficult

When Simu Liu was asked in an interview with NME, “You showed a great deal of vulnerability when writing your 2022 memoir We Were Dreamers, but how did it feel to lay your emotions bare through music?” The Marvel star replied:

“Songwriting is immensely difficult, I would much rather get on the computer and I’d probably finish another book before I finish a full album.”

It’s obvious that Liu is a great actor, but he is no stranger to music. He sings, dances, and can even play the guitar and the piano with ease.

But that one profession that he finds hard to follow is related to music only, which is “songwriting.” No doubt, writing a song that’s hard to forget can be a bit challenging. But it’s kind of shocking listening to it from him.

Because he had gone through extensive training to do his own stunt work, so if he can do that, he obviously can nose to the grindstone for anything. Though it’s not like that the Barbie star hadn’t written any song. He did, not so long ago.

As we know, Simu Liu finds it difficult to write a song. But recently, the future Ken Doll released his debut EP, Anxious-Avoidant. The EP includes four songs: Warm, Break My Heart, If It’s Time, and Don’t. The 34-year-old revealed that he co-wrote one of its tracks with Joe Jonas.

“Collaborated with some incredibly talented artists on this EP, culminating in four songs that I’m extremely excited for you to hear,” Liu wrote on Instagram. And Break My Heart is the release in which the One True Lovers actor is partly responsible for its write-up.
