RHOBH's Lisa Rinna slammed for attending Balenciaga’s Fall show after brand’s child ad scandal

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Lisa Rinna is getting immense backlash online for attending Balenciaga's Fall 2024 show after the brand's controversial child ad campaign.

For the unversed, Balenciaga's child ad campaign featured children holding BDSM-inspired teddy bear handbags.

'The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' alum recently attended Balenciaga's latest show with her two daughters Amelia Gray Hamlin and Delilah Belle Hamlin and shared pictures on her Instagram page.

"The Girls and Momma at @balenciaga 🩶 So FUN 🌴," she wrote in the caption of the Instagram page.

For the fashion show, Lisa donned a deep blue turtleneck top and matching oversized trench coat, Amelia rocked a black jacket and leggings, meanwhile, Delilah sported a baggy grey suit.

It seems like the netizens didn't like the reality TV's star decision to attend Baleciaga's fashion show.

One social media user questioned, "So you approve of child exploitation???"

Another person chimed in, "Very disappointed in all of these celebrities supporting this designer."

Followed by another user who commented, "No to all things Balenciaga. Do better."

A critic noted, "These are some hungry ppl. Supporting Balenciaga and child exploitation."

On November 27, 2022, Lisa took to her Instagram page to share her thoughts on what's going on in the world including Balenciaga's controversial ad campaign.

At that time, she took to her Instagram Story and wrote, "F**ked up What's happening in China What's happening in Iran The new Balenciaga campaign Trump Kanye and the white nationalist at Mar-a-Lago this shit is all scary. In no particular order."

Balenciaga apologizes for the 'unsettling documents' in the controversial ad campaign

As per NBC News, then, the Spanish company started their contentious campaign that showed children holding teddies in bondage wear, and in some snaps documents about child sexual abuse law were used as a prop.

The statement issued on Balenciaga's Instagram Story read, "We apologize for displaying unsettling documents in our campaign."

They further added, "We take this matter very seriously and are taking legal action against the parties responsible for creating the set and including unapproved items for our Spring 23 campaign photoshoot."

The brand continued, "We strongly condemn abuse of children in any form. We stand for children safety and well-being."
