The Season of Discovery is well and truly underway in Pokemon GO.
Much like the Season of Legends, Niantic is looking to kick things off with a bang. A slow bang. But a bang nonetheless.
That’s why, the first event is none other than “A Very Slow Discovery”, focused on Pokemon that aren’t blessed with speed.
One of these Pokemon is of course Slowpoke and the debuting Galarian Slowpoke, which requires a special evolution technique.
So, here’s how to evolve Galarian Slowpoke into Galarian Slowbro in Pokemon GO.
How is it Evolved in Pokemon Sword and Shield?
So, in Pokemon Sword and Shield, Galarian Slowpoke evolves into either Galarian Slowbro or Galarian Slowking using a special item.
This item is either the Galarica Wreath (for Galarian Slowking) or the Galarica Cuff (for Galarian Slowbro).
Fortunately, Niantic isn’t relying on RNG for players to spin another item and instead are adding a new evolution method as they did with other new Pokemon including Spritzee, Slurpuff and Pancham.
Attention, Trainers! To help with your journey in our Season of Discovery, you can now expand your Pokémon storage up to 4,500!

So, How do you Evolve Galarian Slowpoke into Galarian Slowbro in Pokemon GO?
Like the aforementioned Pokemon, the first step you’ll need to take is to capture and then set a Galarian Slowpoke as your buddy.
Galarian Slowpoke can be attained in One-Star Raid Battles.
From there, it’s a case of catching 30 different Poison-type Pokemon and having 50 Slowpoke candies. You’ll then be able to complete the evolution.
Remember, Trainers! Throughout the entire Season of Discovery, you’ll earn twice the XP from Research Breakthroughs. Keep making those discoveries, Trainers! 🔎

What About Galarian Slowking?
Unfortunately, as of right now, Galarian Slowking hasn’t been added to the game.
Niantic used a comical/canonical reason in their announcement article stating that the Pokemon “is taking its time to make its Pokémon GO appearance.”
