Galarian Slowpoke was introduced to Pokemon GO back in June as part of the “A Very Slow Discovery” event.
Alongside Galarian Slowpoke, Galarian Slowbro also debuted, requiring players to complete a special evolution method to get it.
However, while Galarian Slowbro appeared, Galarian Slowking was conspicuously absent. Thankfully, not for much longer!
Although, now it has arrived, many players are wondering if Galarian Slowking can be shiny in Pokemon GO. Let’s take a look.
What Does Shiny Galarian Slowpoke and Slowking Look Like?
Firstly, the main difference between a non-shiny Slowpoke and its new Galarian form is the yellow patch that sits on top of its head.
With the shiny Galarian Slowpoke, it embraces the yellow colouring, switching from its usual pink colour to a vivid yellowy-gold.
Galarian Slowking, is one of the more difficult shinies to distinguish, with its boy just changing a more vivid shade of pink and some other very minor colour changes. Disappointing.
So, Can You Catch Its Shiny Form In Pokemon GO Right Now?
If you’re a shiny hunter, I have the news that you don’t want to hear.
Unfortunately, Niantic hasn’t released this shiny yellow beauty into the game yet and are likely holding it back to get some more Raid Passes off players in the future.
I’m sure they’re well aware people will be spending their Raid Passes on the Pokemon right now, so they can afford to hold onto it for a later time!
