Ryomen Sukuna is now in his final form in Jujutsu Kaisen. The King of Curses, possessing transcending powers due to his four arms and two mouths, has eliminated multiple sorcerers who were believed to be the ones to end his carnage. There is still a ray of hope even though it increasingly seems that villains will get the dub over the heroes.
Yuji Itadori is undoubtedly the only character who can defeat Sukuna at this moment. Jujutsu Kaisen has hinted that Yuji has a big role to play after consuming all twenty Sukuna fingers and surviving multiple dangerous situations. Moreover, he has a set of powerful friends that can aid him in battle.
Yuji Itadori Is Expected To Be Defeat Ryomen Sukuna And End His Terror In Jujutsu Kaisen
Hajime Kishimo was believed to be the chosen one to end Ryomen Sukuna’s tyranny with his Cursed Technique. Although the ‘Genju Kohasaku’ technique amplified his speed and strength abilities to overwhelm Sukuna, Kishimo’s body also took a heavy toll. The last resort didn’t defeat the villain as Sukuna reincarnated by using Megumi’s body as a vessel after which he killed Kishimo in Chapter 238.
That was the closest that Ryomen Sukuna ever came to being defeated as he had been exhausted by his fight with Satoru Gojo before engaging Hajime Kishimo. Now in his twenty-finger form, Sukuna is undoubtedly the strongest character in Jujutsu Kaisen. It has also been made clear that the protagonist of the manga, Yuji Itadori, will be the one to defeat Ryomen Sukuna.

Despite being beaten several times in the series, Yuji is considered to be the only person to surpass Satoru Gojo with his ability to manipulate raw cursed energy. The blue-eyed sorcerer himself praised Itadori’s potential during their time in Jujutsu High. As the manga progressed, the hero was also able to learn more complicated techniques with ease.
The Shibuya Incident arc has given Yuji Itadori renewed importance. Fan-favorite characters like Kento Nanami, Satoru Gojo, and presumably Megumi Fushiguro, have been written off. Itadori was just a spectator to the chaos as Sukuna tampered with Megumi’s memories to take over his body before killing Gojo, and when Nanami was killed by Mahito.
Death and suffering in most shonen mangas are a way to develop the hero’s character and resolve. Gege Akutami is following the same route, apart from the fact that the mangaka is highly sadistic when it comes to heroes. Yuji Itadori has many close calls with death and now that he has been kept alive by Akutami, it’s clear that he has a bigger role to play in Jujutsu Kaisen.

Yuji Itadori’s Fight With Ryomen Sukuna Awaits A Conclusion
Yuji Itadori has locked horns with Ryomen Sukuna multiple times and each fight has left the main character rattled. Their rivalry began in Chapter 11 during the ‘Binding Vow’ incident. Itadori has been hot on the heels of Sukuna since then and even leaped into the battlefield the moment he witnessed his mentor, Gojo’s death.
Itadori is not alone in his fight. Since Chapter 238, Yuji and Hiromi Higuarama have been engaged in a heated battle with the powered version of Sukuna. There has been no conclusion to the fight as the manga has shifted focus to Takaba versus Kenjaku since Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 239.

Yuji and Hiromi are unlikely to defeat Sukuna unless they have a trick up their sleeve. That said, both the characters possess a range of techniques that they can use strategically such as Higuarama’s Domain Expansion and Itadori’s Black Flash. Itdaori’s prowess in close-range combat could also come in handy if Ryomen is somehow stripped of his cursed energy.
