The Buffalo Bills and the Miami Dolphins were locked in on a battle on Saturday night football when the game was stopped abruptly for some time because the fans kept throwing snowballs at the Dolphins’ bench.
The Bills Mafia had first started throwing snowballs when their team marched down the field and scored their first touchdown of the game. At the start of the second quarter, some fans chucked snowballs toward Tyreek Hill while he was trying to catch a pass from his QB in the Endzone. Despite the message on the big screen which warned fans to not throw objects on the field, the snowballs kept raining on the Dolphins bench.
During the midway of the second quarter, the refs were forced to stop the game due to the amount of snowballs that were being thrown at the Dolphins’ bench. The game resumed shortly, and the refs announced a 15-yard penalty will be enforced against the Buffalo Bills if a snowball hits one of the players again. Buffalo fans did not react to the announcement well, calling the NFL “No Fun League” and noted how Dolphins fans can take advantage of it.
The Highmark Stadium Management issued a stern warning to the fans that they will be ejected and subjected to arrest if they don’t stop throwing snowballs onto the field. “For player and public safety, please stop throwing snowballs. You will be ejected and subject to arrest.”
Buffalo Bills ended up winning the game 32-29. Buffalo kicker Tyler Bass hit the game-winning goal as the clock expired. The team has now managed to clinch a playoff berth with this victory.

Twitter reacts to Bills’ snowball fiasco
The Buffalo Bills and the Miami Dolphins put on a great show on Saturday. But the game has received a lot of attention for completely different reasons. The game was stopped briefly during the second quarter because the fans kept throwing snowballs at the Dolphins’ sideline.
The announcers were joking about how the Dolphins players have to dodge the Bills players and also snowballs. But twitter had mixed reactions about the incident. Although some people took it as a lighthearted fun, many people called Bills fans “classless” for chucking snowballs at the NFL players.
Not a fan of some Bills fans throwing snowballs at players. That seems uncalled for.

There are snowballs literally hitting the field 7 yards away from dolphins players. How is this still going on? When are they going to start penalizing the Bills?

Yo @nfl
The play was still happening and bills fans are throwing snowballs at us.
That’s ok to you?
Classless fan base.

100% it’s the 10 Fins fans in the stands throwing snowballs.. can’t prove me wrong

Some Bills fans are currently throwing snowballs at some of the Miami #Dolphins players before, during and after plays, too.
That's acceptable? @NFLOfficiating

The snowball thing is way outta pocket. But if they start penalizing Buffalo, miami fans are going to start framing the bills! Plot twist!

Penalize the Bills for fans throwing snowballs.

So .. they were never serious about penalizing the Bills for fans throwing snowballs. Shocker.
— Farzin Vousoughian (@Farzin21) December 18, 2022
Dolphins just mad because Bills fans can throw snowballs more accurately then Tua can with a football.
— Burke 🇺🇸 (@LetsGoBuffalo24) December 18, 2022
We’d be up 21-3 if Bills fans weren’t allowed to throw snowballs.
— Valley Boys Sports (@VBSofficial_) December 18, 2022
These bills fans are so low class for throwing these snowballs. 💯💯💯
— Cristo-ballin’ 🟧🙌🏻🟩 (@CanesfanDuke) December 18, 2022
All Of The Bills Fans Should Be Ejected For Throwing Snowballs.
— PhillyFan07 (@PhillyFan07) December 18, 2022
The Dolphins’ fans were furious about the incident. Some were understandably mad at the refs for allowing it to happen for a long time. Refs never even used the 15-yard penalty against the Bills even though some people kept chucking the snowballs.
Bills confirmed their playoff spot today with this victory. Buffalo will look to clinch the AFC East with a victory next week when they face the Chicago Bears on December 24.
