Mercedes’ James Allison makes X-rated Red Bull comment during FIA ceremony

With Max Verstappen pipping past Lewis Hamilton to win the 2021 world title, Mercedes surely hasn’t digested the fact well enough. Justifying this claim on a very recent occasion, was the team’s chief technical director James Allison made an amusing X-rated gag about their relationship with Red Bull following the controversial 2021 season finale at Yas Marina, Abu Dhabi.

The rivalry between Mercedes and Red Bull has been the main talking about the previously concluded 2021 season. With both marquee drivers exchanging verbal as well as physical blows on the track, the 2021 rivalry from the tracks was one of the best ever seen by race fans. And safe to say, as per James Allison, Mercedes haven’t forgotten one bit of it.

Now to those who are unaware about the incident of Mercedes’ James Allison, he joked that both teams ‘get on each other’s t*ts’.

“I can’t stress enough what a massive pleasure it is to be able to pick up this trophy today after a championship of such quality and to have the pleasure of fighting like cats and dogs all year with Red Bull,” Allison said as quoted by Express.co.uk. “Brilliant opponents. We get on each other’s t*ts a bit. But that’s how it should be and it was just a fantastic fight. So, yeah, very grateful for that.”

Celebrating at Red Bull’s headquarters in Milton Keynes, he conceded that he did at times ‘hate’ the 36-year-old.

You look each other in the eye. You don’t say a lot but you do relate a lot and you really appreciate the fight,” Verstappen told the BBC at Red Bull’s headquarters in Milton Keynes. “Sometimes we did hate each other, but that’s fine. That’s the competitive spirit of both of us. He is an incredible driver.”
