There's more: She's writing a TBS pilot, appearing in a Zac Efron film, and was *paid *to Vine with Channing Tatum.
Her "aha!" moment: "I used to think someone had to grow your career in Hollywood. But you have to build your own empire; that's when people want to help you."
The Songbirds
As the first Viners to be signed to a major record label, Us the Duo (@UsTheDuo; in real life, married couple Carissa and Michael Alvarado) will release a debut album this spring. PS: Oprah's a fan.
Their big break: "I didn't want to put on makeup, so we recorded our first cover from the nose down," says Carissa. "People liked the mystery. In one month we got a million followers."
Their big tip: "Be consistent," says Michael. "Even if we were tired, we posted every day."
The Everygirl
Arielle Vandenberg @ArielleVandenberg has trained with big-time improv troupes, but she says her hilarious Vines are simply reenactments of her real encounters. See: awkward flirtations, latte freak-outs.
Her Vine faux pas: "I first thought Vine was for video editing. I uploaded one where I gave voice to a statue, not realizing people would see it. Thank God I didn't make a nudie Vine!"
Her M.O.: "If someone puts themselves out there, don't put them down. We need to lift each other up."
The Dance Queen After falling in love with America's Best Dance Crew seven years ago, Jeia Gilliam (@OMJeia) worked on her own sick moves, becoming one of the top hip-hop freestyle dancers on Vine. She's so in-demand even Ellen asked her to perform on air.
Her big break: "The day my dance to Drake's 'Trophies' got picked as the Vine editor's choice, I gained 18,000 followers."
Her golden rule: "Always create your own style. When you're unique, people respond."
