Manufacturer targets Gaston County for $48M, 230-job project – WSOC TV

GASTON COUNTY, N.C. — Gaston County’s Apple Creek Corporate Center appears close to landing another large investment from a manufacturer.

Earlier this week, the Gaston County Board of Commissioners authorized the sale of 26.8 acres at the park for “Project Ashbury.” County documents state the company behind the project is a food manufacturer that makes pre-packaged meals sold at grocery and convenience stores. The company would hire around 230 people and invest $48 million at the new manufacturing facility, county leaders said.
