Prologue:
No set-up required. Be rude to Travis (The Cop) if you would like to, but this is a breezy Chapter to get through.
Chapter 1:
Steal the rotor-arm from the van as Jacob. This is so we can kill him off very early in Chapter 3! Break into the cabin as Abigail. Grab the stuffed toy from inside the cabin. This is absolutely crucial, so don't forget it.
Chapter 2:
No set-up required.
Chapter 3:
Jump back into the water to retrieve the rotor-arm as Jacob. Make sure you grab it when the QTE pops up so that his hand becomes entangled in the barbed wire. Watch as the timer ticks away and Jacob dies. Congratulations! You've killed your first counselor!
Chapter 4:
Inspect the Trapdoor as Emma. This will result in her automatically dying. If you did not kill Jacob in Chapter 3, this is the perfect opportunity to rectify your mistake! The second time there is rustling in the bushes, shoot at the approaching figure and you will learn quite quickly it is Jacob.
Chapter 5:
Either cut or shoot off Dylan's hand when prompted to. If not, he will remain infected (and alive) until the end of the game.
Chapter 6:
If you did not manage to kill Jacob in Chapter 3 or 4, this is another opportunity to do so. After failing to find Emma, Jacob will be hunted by a werewolf. Fail every QTE and he will be killed. Do not shoot Nick as Abigail. Either wait for the timer to run out or miss your shot entirely. This will result in Abigail dying (and earning you Lovers' Quarrel if you haven't already gotten the Achievement!).
Chapter 7:
Be rude to The Cop (Travis) the entire Chapter. Do not be compliant or nice to him. Do not pick up the syringe full of sedatives in the police station once you gain access to roam the area. Instead, near the end of the flashback, choose to take Travis' gun and choose Aggressive dialogue with him. This will cause Laura to shoot Travis, sealing her fate.
Chapter 8:
Do not stop Laura from shooting the werewolf trapped in the electrified cage. This is Nick.
Chapter 9:
Accept Laura's bite when offered to prevent Ryan from bleeding out later in the Chapter.
Warn Kaitlyn a werewolf is coming as Dylan when operating the crane. Sound the horn and fail the QTE so that Dylan is killed by the werewolf while Kaitlyn gets away.
Shoot Chris Hackett. Once Laura transforms back into a human, Travis will kill her. Succeed the QTE when Travis reaches for the shotgun in Ryan's hands. Choose Aggressive dialogue and shoot Travis as he approaches Ryan to kill him.
Chapter 10:
Now, we finally get to play as Max. The reason we killed Chris Hackett was so we could kill Max in the subsequent Chapter. When given the option to Stay or Swim to Shore, choose the latter. Max will automatically be killed by a werewolf once he reaches the docks.
Finally, Kaitlyn is the only remaining counselor left. Prepare for Attack at the Ancestral Painting. Do not do anything as the werewolf approaches and allow it to kill Kaitlyn.
Congratulations and expert killing! You've successfully saved Ryan from the horrors of Hackett's Quarry!
