Over the past few months, James Gunn has updated fans on every pre-production development regarding his upcoming film Superman: Legacy. The director also shared with fans about how his Superman and his suit will be a mix of the old and the new. David Corenswet, Rachel Brosnahan, and the other cast will start shooting the film in March this year

On Threads, a fan asked Gunn about whether a leaked photo of Corenswet (which was circulated on X) if the suit was legit, Gunn dismissed the leaks and claimed that the photos of him in the suit were only in his phone. He said,

“Glad you think he looks great, but there’s no leak. The only photos taken of David in the Superman suit are on my phone and I’m standing with him.”

Fans should refrain from unconfirmed sources and wait for Gunn or WB to release official stills and information from the movie. The movie has not started shooting yet so one should not expect any kind of first look from the film anytime soon.

The most likely scenario is of Supergirl having a cameo appearance in a post-credits scene. The film is already crowded with so many characters already and it seems unlikely that she will have a proper role in the film. But anything is possible with Gunn and for now, it remains to be seen how Gunn weaves his magic into all these iconic characters and brings it to life.
