ISP trooper, Morgan Co. deputy recently injured receive grants

MORGAN COUNTY, Ind. — Two central Indiana law enforcement officers recently injured in the line of duty are receiving grants from a nonprofit organization.

On Feb. 2, Running 4 Heroes presented Indiana State Police Trooper Azariah Keith and Morgan County Sheriff's Office Deputy Mallory Schwab with two grants in the amount of $2,000 each.

The awards came from the Running 4 Heroes Injured First Responder Grant Program. Founded in 2019 by 10-year-old Zechariah Cartledge, Running 4 Heroes has awarded 54 injured first responders a combined $500,000.

Schwab joined Running 4 Heroes representatives in bringing Keith his grant while he continues recovering at the hospital.
