Is There a Shiny Electabuzz in Pokemon GO December 2021 Spotlight Hour?

At the end of last month, Pokemon GO’s Mischief Unbound event went a little crazy, holding four Spotlight Hours in a row, with Rattata, Sableye, Pikachu and Beldum all appearing more frequently.

Now, thankfully we’re in December and back to normality as the events return on a weekly basis.

As always, there will be one Pokemon that will be appearing far more frequently on Tuesday, between 6 pm and 7 pm local time, and this week, it’s none other than the Electric Pokemon, Electabuzz.

Much like every other Spotlight Hour, players are wondering if there will be a shiny Electabuzz during this week’s event. Let’s take a look.

Can Electabuzz Be Shiny in the Pokemon GO December Spotlight Hour?

Thankfully, for those looking out for shiny Pokemon, it’s good news.

Electabuzz has been available in its shiny form since 2018’s Hatchathon event and therefore, will be available as part of the Pokemon GO Spotlight Hour that’s taking place this Tuesday. It was also available more frequently in its shiny form as part of the November 2021 Community Day.

Sadly, unlike last year’s Community Day, a shiny Electabuzz won’t be any easier to come by and it will retain its usual shiny odds. That being said, as they are appearing so frequently, if you’re on the hunt for a shiny, your best bet is to click them all.

And for those who are unaware of what a shiny Electabuzz looks like, check out the image below. You’ll notice that the Pokemon is a much darker shade of yellow/orange than the usual yellow that you are used to seeing.

Best of those who are out there looking for a shiny Electabuzz tonight!
