It’s been an eventful 2021 for Pokemon Go with a plethora of events taking place in the game, and the game’s popularity growing quite steadily at the same time as well. With the arrival of the new year, fans are looking forward to some more exciting stuff, and Niantic will surely not disappoint them.
For the second Spotlight Hour of the year, we have quite an interesting Pokemon as the featured one, and that is none other than Diglett. The event will kick off at 6 pm local time, and unlike some other events, it won’t last for that long and will conclude at 7 pm local time. During the period, players will be seeing Diglett more often in the wild. Along with that, the Stardust they will receive during the period will be twice the amount as well, so you can keep catching as many Pokemon as you want.
Diglett is a ground-type Pokemon that was added in Generation 1, and it hails from the Kanto region. It evolves into Dugtrio.
The most important question remains – Is there a Shiny Diglett in Pokemon Go? Well, the good news is yes, there is. It can be a bit tricky to spot one since the only distinction between a normal one and a shiny one is the nose which is blue in color for the shiny variant. That being said, shiny rates aren’t boosted at all, so you might still have a hard time getting your hands on the shiny treasure.
