Is the New Shenhe and Xiao Leak Real

More Genshin Impact leaks have surfaced this October 20 about popular NotKirito character Xiao and upcoming waifu Shenhe, let’s analyze those leaks and see if they’re real.

Genshin Impact, one year after its launch, is one of the most popular Japanese-stylized games in the world. The open-world JRPG with gacha elements managed to rake in a huge audience. Most notably a younger player-base who might have never played a Japanese-stylized game before. It’s no wonder there are many leaks regularly surfacing about the game.

As you already know, there are two types of Genshin Impact leaks. First, you have data mined content. This info most of the time concerns the next update of the game and is very credible when it comes to new characters, weapons, quests, and the like.

The second type is leaks shared by Chinese leakers and insiders. The info is translated by fans, and often concerns updates far into the future. These Genshin leaks are much more questionable, and the new Xiao and Shenhe leak is part of this category.

Genshin Impact 2.4 Leaks Xiao, Shenhe, Yun Jin banners, Artifacts, Weapons – Is it real?

A new “sussy” Genshin Impact leak has been shared on the Xiao mains sub, and later shared on r/Genshin_Impact_Leaks.

First, the leak explained Xiao will get his first banner rerun with Lantern Rite on Version 2.4. miHoYo never explicitly stated it, but seeing the timing of all reruns so far, it’s very likely Xiao will get a rerun once a year when Lantern Rite comes back.

Secondly, the leak mentioned the Version 2.4 banners would be Shenhe and Xiao, with Yun Jin being a 4-star character on Xiao’s banner. And with new Character Quests for Xiao and Shenhe.

This is definitely possible, seeing “About Shenhe” voice lines were added in Version 2.2, officially confirming Shenhe wasn’t scrapped and will be implemented at some point. “About Yun Jin” lines were added too. Check them out with our past coverage.

New Anemo Artifact set coming in The Chasm Domain?

Thirdly, the leak mentioned two new Artifact sets will be coming to Version 2.4, along with weapons, two Polearms, geared for Xiao and Shenhe. One Artifact set was detailed: “an Anemo set with mechanics similar to Raiden Shogun’s C2 with a requirement of AoE DMG, and really good for Venti, Xiao, and Kazuha. Yun Jin is also an excellent Anemo support”.

This is the least likely to happen part of the leaked info. However, it could definitely coincidentally turn out true seeing there is only one Anemo focused Artifact set in the game so far. Moreover, past leaks have said The Chasm area will be added in Version 2.4, and it’s very rare for a new area to be added without a Domain. Be it an Artifact or one-time Domain.

We’ll know whether this is true or not once the Version 2.4 beta test starts in around six weeks. Data mining will confirm and deny the info.
