RICHMOND, Texas — A popular Houston area Instagram model was found slain in a Richmond, Texas, apartment on Sunday in what authorities are investigating as a murder-suicide.
According to KTRK and KHOU, the model has been identified as 33-year-old Jenae Gagnier, who used the Miss Mercedes Morr persona on social media.

The suspect, whose body was also found inside the Courtland Apartments residence, has been identified as 34-year-old Kevin Alexander Accorto, and investigators do not believe a relationship existed between the two, KTRK reported.
The Fort Bend County Medical Examiner confirmed to KHOU that Gagnier was strangled and that Accorto, of Florida, killed himself with “multiple sharp force trauma.”

Gagnier had 2.6 million Instagram follower, the TV station reported.
“At this point, this is being considered a murder/suicide and it is an ongoing investigation to determine motive in the case,” Richmond police said in a prepared statement.
