Popular Nollywood actress, Adesua Etomi, revealed her not-so-happy reaction to her husband, Bankole Wellington’s – popularly known as “Banky W” – decision to join politics.
The award-winning actress said in a recent interview that she was worried when Banky told her about his political ambition.

Banky W joined politics in 2018 as a member of the Modern Democratic Party (MDP), gunning for the House of Representatives in the federal constituency of Eti-Osa.
In 2022, Banky W declared his decampment from the MDP, to the Peoples Democratic Party and won the ticket to contest as the party bearer for the Eti-Osa constituency, ahead of the upcoming elections.
Wife and mother of his child, Adesua Etomi, has remarked on her reservations, stating she was worried about her husband’s political ambition.
However, she also said that her fears and concerns subsided when she realized Banky W was pursuing a higher purpose.

In her words, “When Banky said he was going to go into politics, I was a little bit worried.
“I spoke about this many times before but I also believe that purpose is more important than fear.
“I want to see him prove his purpose, so he has my support 100 per cent.”
