“I love this” NBA Fans react to Stephen A. Smith trolling Nets for leaving Giannis Antetokounmpo open during a 3PT attempt

Stephen A. Smith is widely known for his incredibly loud personality that sometimes gets caught up in the most sticky situations with fans. Despite these tendencies, the legendary commentator has been making massive upgrades to his profession. Recently, his first-ever television special made its official debut and it has been fairly interesting watching him give live reactions.

ESPN’s “NBA in Stephen A’s World” will feature the legend himself along with multiple other sports icons and experts. In a recent episode, while the analyst was giving a live reaction to the game between the Milwaukee Bucks and Brooklyn Nets, he made a comment on the latter’s defense that was apparently not on point.

Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo was left wide open for a three-pointer which failed to convert when Stephen A. Smith said, “That’s what you let him do and kill you everywhere else. Let him do that, let him shoot those threes.” Now the Greek Freak is not the best long-distance shooter but he is not bad either. The Nets’ defense made a massive mistake leaving him open assuming he would not make it.

They may have had their way with luck this time but Antetokounmpo has had his moments firing away from three-point land. Despite attempting such shots at a very low rate, Giannis is currently shooting 40% from beyond the arc which is damn near half of the ones taken. Stephen A. Smith’s reaction was certainly right here is what fans had to say to it.

Stephen A. Smith made an honest judgment on the Nets’ defense

Stephen A. Smith was more or less right about what he said about the Nets’ defense. The team is indeed offensively powerful having Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving on their roster but they certainly have not shown promise with other aspects. They succumbed to the Bucks 110-99 losing their second straight game.

The Nets duo 60 points together but had no support from their role players. Ben Simmons has not returned to form averaging only 0.8 steals and blocks per game which is terrible for someone who has the team’s defense running through him. The former Defensive Player of the Year is only averaging 5.3 points per game which are nearly an 80% drop in personal offensive contributions. They need to step up before having another embarrassing run.
