Johnny Ruffo, an Australian artist and entertainer, gained recognition as a finalist on The X Factor Australia’s third season in 2011.
Born in Balcatta, a suburb of Perth, Western Australia, to parents Jill and Pascoe Ruffo, he experienced his parents’ separation at a young age and spent his formative years living with his mother in a small Homeswest unit.
At 12, inspired by Michael Jackson, he embarked on his musical journey, learning to play the guitar and piano and penning his first song at 14.
