Yet, turns out that the reports about Cage returning as Johnny Blaze do not sit well with Marvel fans, judging from how some fans have been demanding the Walking Dead star, Norman Reedus, in his stead instead.

Though unconfirmed by Marvel yet, this news seems to not sit well with Marvel fans, as some fans demand that the Walking Dead star, Norman Reedus should play the character in the upcoming Avengers: Secret Wars instead.

Judging from how this report comes after numerous other rumors about Nicolas Cage’s comeback to Marvel that have surfaced in the past years, this reports too seems to be a mere rumor to most fans. Besides these, one possible reason behind this claim is that Reedus has shared his desire to play Marvel’s Ghost Rider on more than one occasion. Another reason are the other reports previously surfaced about him making his Marvel debut as the Spirit of Vengeance in the upcoming 2025 movie, Blade.
Considering his renowned portrayal of Daryl Dixon in the horror fiction TV series The Walking Dead, Norman Reedus is undoubtedly one of the biggest fan-favorite choices to play the character, and judging how the rumors haven’t been confirmed yet, fans are hoping that he just might.
