The Season of Alola is here in Pokemon GO and with it comes a bunch of Pokemon that first appeared in Sun and Moon’s Alola region.
Alongside that, and appearing during the first Pokemon GO Community Day of the new season, are Sandshrew and Alolan Sandshrew.
The event is set to bring a bunch of bonuses including quarter hatch distance and three-hour Lure and Incense duration, however, as always, there will be a Special Research ticket available for players.
This ticket, titled Gritty and Glacial, will be available for players during the event and here’s everything you need to know about it including the price and the Research Tasks.
What is The Price of the “Gritty and Glacial” Community Day Ticket?
The “Gritty and Glacial” Special Research Ticket is the cheapest that you’ll find in Pokemon GO.
While historically, some, like the Johto and Kanto Tours, have cost somewhere between $10-$15, this event will cost players $1 (or the equivalent pricing in players’ local countries).
Gritty and Glacial Details including Start Time, Likely Tasks and Rewards
The ticket will run alongside the Sandshrew and Alolan Sandshrew Community Day, which takes place on Sunday, March 13 at 11 am local time.
As for the actual research and rewards, they won’t be revealed until Community Day kicks off. That being said, every month they follow a very similar pattern and they can be predicted with relatively high accuracy.
This is what we expect for the Gritty and Glacial tasks this Community Day:
Step One:
- Power Up Pokemon 10 times – 15x PokeBall
- Catch 15 Sandshrew – Pokemon Encounter
- Make 5 Nice Throws – 20x Sandshrew Candy
- Rewards: 2,000x Stardust, Sandshrew Encounter and 1x Incense
Step 2
- Catch 15 Sandshrew – 30x Sandshrew Candy
- Transfer 10 Pokemon – Sandslash Encounter
- Evolve 3 Sandshrew – 15x Great Balls
- Rewards: 1,500 XP, 1x Incense and Sandslash Encounter
Step 3
- Make 3 Great Curveball Throws – 50x Sandshrew Candy
- Evolve 3 Sandshrew – 1x Star Piece
- Transfer 10 Pokemon: 2x Silver Pinap Berry
- Rewards: 2,500 XP, 1x Rocket Radar and 15x Ultra Ball
Step 4:
- Claim Reward – 3,500 XP
- Claim Reward – Sandshrew Encounter
- Claim Reward – 2x Silver Pinap Berry
- Rewards: 3,000 Stardust, Sandslash Encounter and 2x Rare Candy
