Genshin Impact April Fools 2022 Makes Pyro Abyss Lector Boss Playable

The Genshin Impact socials have shared a peculiar prank for 2022 April Fools, as most players would definitely love to see this become real: Pyro Abyss Lector Enjou being playable.

Genshin Impact is one of the most popular anime games out there, but unlike other gacha games doesn’t do events synchronized with happenings in the West. Genshin Impact had no Halloween event and no Christmas event in 2021, though we could build some snowmen. However, April Fools is something the game’s socials have never let go of, and this year a peculiar prank has shown up.

Genshin Impact April Fools from HoYoverse Makes Pyro Abyss Lector Enjou Playable

The joke was shared via the Ella Musk Twitter, which is another account owned by HoYoverse, just like the Paimon Japanese account. The tweet has an elaborate video of the Pyro Abyss Lector in chibi/SD, using various skills just like any other playable character. The video is over two minutes long too, and also features Aether and Paimon, showing how much effort actually went into this. Check out the fake trailer below.

When things get tough, using wisdom to solve problems is always the go-to solution of the Abyss Lector: Fathomless Flames.
And this time, he successfully used his wisdom to defeat the hero!?

Why fans would love it if this prank turned out to be real

The Pyro Abyss Lector/ Enjou is one of the most popular enemies in Genshin Impact, thanks to the role he plays in the Enkanomiya lore and quests. Enjou definitely left a huge impact on everyone and we can’t wait to see him again.

Genshin Impact 2.6 is finally out, and this is a massive update as it finally added the Chasm and Kamisato Ayato. The Chasm was the center of many leaks, rumors, and speculation even before the game got even released, as its name tag appeared on the world map even though the area was hidden. We can finally explore it now. What are your thoughts on 2.6 so far, and would you pull the Abyss Lector if he actually became playable? Let me know in the comments!
