CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Fifth Third Bancorp filed applications this month to open three branches in North Carolina, including one in Charlotte.
The local branch will be at 1511 East Blvd. in Dilworth, a space that formerly housed Babalu Tapas & Tacos and Cantina 1511.
This continues Fifth Third’s plan to open 50 new branches in North Carolina in a three-year period, about 20 of which will be in the Charlotte market.
