TAMPA, Fla. — A 30-year-old Tampa man died after his jack failed and a car fell on top of him, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
It happened just after midnight Monday on southbound Interstate 275 north of Howard Avenue, where troopers responded to the inside shoulder.
Some lanes early Monday were closed while troopers investigated. All have since reopened by the morning rush hour.
