Like many of you readers, I have been eagerly anticipating the release of Chapter 9 DLC for Celeste, one of my favorite games of last year. Thankfully, according to the official Twitter account for the game, we won’t have to wait that much longer to get our hands on it.
On the Celeste Twitter account, the development team shared that they were just finishing up the porting process and once it is finished the game would be good to go. A release date seems imminent.

Chapter 9: Farewell looks like it is going to be a pretty hefty piece of DLC. Earlier, Matt Thorson, the creator of the game, shared that it will feature over 100 new levels. That is a mighty hefty package for a free piece of content.
If you haven’t played Celeste and are a fan of platformers, that probably needs to change. The game is one of the best platformers I have ever played. Though it doesn’t just stop at the great gameplay and level design. Celeste also has a deeply impactful narrative that really resonated with me and other players around the world. Oh, and the soundtrack is one of the best I have ever heard as well. You can even get a sneak peek at some of the music coming to the DLC right here. Boy, I might just run through it one more time before the DLC launches.
