The family of a missing woman found dead on the east side are keeping their fingers crossed for justice.
INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) - The family of a missing woman found dead on the east side are keeping their fingers crossed for justice.
Friends of Jaime Beasley started a makeshift memorial to mark the spot where her body was found over the weekend.
"She would not want anybody crying right now," said Susanne Gill.
Gill is the victim's younger sister and with a family friend by her side, Susanne managed somehow to hold back tears talking with Eyewitness News about her older sister.
They stopped hearing from Jaime right before Christmas 2017.
"We were supposed to hear from her that night. When we didn't hear from her that night, mom automatically knew something was wrong. From that day we found out, I went back to that house up until every day until Christmas," Gill said.
As a neighborhood cleanup crew picked up trash near 20th and Riley streets Saturday morning they discovered Jaime's remains. Her street side memorial includes a teddy bear left by her sister.
"I'm asking everybody, please, say something if you know something. That's all we're asking. Give our family some closure that we need," said Casey Forey to the dozens gathered outside along East 20th Street near Emerson Tuesday night.

Forey made the public plea to those who came out to remember her cousin. Beasley's friends and family gathered at the spot where her body was discovered Saturday. People found Beasley's remains while cleaning up trash in the area.
Loved ones left candles, flowers, and messages in her honor. Her pastor offered prayers of comfort.
"We lost one of our precious sisters in the Lord and I want to pray that God will put his hands upon your families so this doesn't happen to you," said Pastor David McColley with Pentecostal Power of Praise.
The Marion County coroner is waiting on toxicology results and other lab work before an official cause and manner of death is released to the public and the IMPD Homicide Division.
The discovery of Beasley's remains has been a crushing blow to loved ones who were hoping for the best, even as months passed without any word from Beasley.
"We didn't want to find her here. We wanted to find her alive, but now that we know, we can finally give her a resting place," said Beasley's mom Sherrie Price.
Her family hopes someone is brave enough to come forward with the information detectives need in the case to bring their family closure.
"I want to know how? When? Why? I just want to know why," said Price.
"You are not going to be called a snitch. This is someone's daughter, this is a mother. This is somebody who got along with everybody," Gill said.
Jaime's family also shared a photo with Eyewitness News of Jaime and their sister Amanda Roddy, who passed away in September.
"Losing my daughter was the hardest thing I ever had to do, but losing two is almost unbearable," said Price.
Price struggled then to try to finance a funeral for Amanda. The family is still paying past due bills for those services. Since they're still hit with Amanda's funeral costs, family friends are trying to ease the burden through a GoFundMe page for Jaime Beasley.
Eyewitness News asked Gill what she would say to the people or persons responsible for her sister’s death.
"All I would say is that God is going to show you. that's all I can say," said Susanne.
