A wedding proposal is a very private matter, and couples will have a picture of what their ideal one will be. Some may choose a private affair, while others may aspire to a great, public expression of love.
One man thought he’d nailed the proposal of his now-fiancée’s dreams when he decided to pop the question while walking their dog along the beach last month.
However, their cute puppy managed to steal the spotlight during the proposal, rushing up to ‘accept’ the ring before the giggling owner could decide.

Vicky Jones, 33, wasn’t expecting her then-boyfriend Josh Stewart, 33, to get down on one knee while on a beach stroll with their Dalmatian-cross Breeze, and before she could respond, the overly eager puppy sprang onto her back legs towards the ring to say ‘yes’ on her behalf.
Vicky, from Plymouth, Devon, United Kingdom, said: “The proposal was very unexpected. Apparently, he was planning it for a couple of months and everyone knew apart from me.

“When he asked the question I said yes, but obviously the dog said yes before me. Apparently, dogs sense things before humans so [she was right].”
The bride-to-be was too engrossed in the moment to notice the rescue dog’s exuberant conduct, but when they looked back at the images, they laughed.
Vicky recalled the proposal, which took place on Toko Mouth Beach in Glenledi, New Zealand: “I was in shock and I was like, ‘what’s going on?'” In that situation, the dog took the lead.
“I’m not sure if she mistook the ring for a stick or a treat; she’s very food oriented.”
“But luckily it’s so funny to look back at the pictures and see her playing the fool like she usually does.
“We just laughed so hard because it’s something she’d always do. She’s always the centre of attention.”
