Dunkin' Donuts releases holiday-themed cup amid Starbucks red-cup controversy

Dunkin' Donuts has unveiled its holiday season coffee cup.

The white cup is designed with the word "Joy" surrounded by a holly wreath.

The big reveal comes amid controversy after Starbucks announced it would abandon its Christmas-themed cups.

Starbucks has removed what it calls the "symbols of the season" that it's used on its cups in the past, including reindeer, snow flakes and Christmas ornaments.

The company has has argued that the plain cups are to give customers space to get creative with their own holiday doodles.
