Columbus Police Department is investigating a shooting that happened at Quail Run Apartments just after 2:20 p.m. Sunday.
COLUMBUS, Ind. (WTHR) – Columbus Police Department is investigating a shooting that happened at Quail Run Apartments just after 2:20 p.m. Sunday.
Columbus police officers were dispatched to 1085 Robert Drive in regards to a shooting that had just occurred.
While in route, officers were notified that the shooting victim was transported to Columbus Regional Hospital by a family member.
The victim was shot multiple times and was later transferred by medical helicopter to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, according to officials.
The arriving officers located the shooting suspect at the apartment, where he was taken into custody.
The case remains under investigation by the Columbus Police Department's Detective Division.
