However, the actor was terrified by Sibi Blazic during the filming of The Dark Knight Rises where she had the role of a stunt woman.
Christian Bale has been married to his wife Sibi Blazic for a long time since 2000. Although they don’t take part in much public interaction, Bale is often seen speaking highly about his wife. But the Batman fame shared a funny anecdote that happened when they were working together in The Dark Knight Rises.
How did Sibi Blazic terrify Christian Bale in The Dark Knight Rises?
From her career, it can be understood that Sibi Blazic is quite a talented individual. The former personal assistant to Winona Ryder was also a model and makeup artist. Additionally, she also worked as a stunt performer.
While speaking to The Wall Street Journal, Christian Bale shared a funny anecdote about how he was badly terrified of his wife during The Dark Knight Rises. Sibi Blazic was a stunt driver in the Christopher Nolan directorial and was driving a cop car. Bale praised his 53-year-old wife and claimed that she was a top-tier-stunt driver.
“My wife was a stunt driver, she was chasing me through the city in Batman. She was driving one of the cop cars. She can do 180s and stunts and all that. She terrifies me. My wife terrifies me.”
Sibi Blazic has also worked in Ford v Ferrari and George of the Jungle. Blazic used to be the personal assistant to Winona Ryder who was also Bale’s co-star in Little Women. The couple has been happily married and also shares a son and a daughter together- Emmeline Bale and Joseph Bale.
Sibi Blazic wasn’t impressed with Christian Bale’s Batman initially
Christian Bale has often spoken about how his family holds a very important place in his heart. The Amsterdam actor who is known for his method acting skills, also acknowledged his wife for being the support system for those drastic transformations.
However, Sibi Blazic wasn’t a fan of one of the primary aspects of The Dark Knight Trilogy. One of the key points about the Christopher Nolan Batman trilogy is Bale’s voice. In an interview with MTV News, Christian Bale revealed that the distinct voice of Batman didn’t pull many fans initially.
“I went home that evening, and my wife said, ‘How’d it go?’ I went, ‘I kind of did this.’ And I showed her, and she went, ‘Oh, you f–ked that one up, didn’t you?'”
Later it became one of the most unique points about his Batman. According to Bale, he was hellbent on giving a beast-like vibe to the Caped Crusader. The people are still fans of that voice and it proved to be a major selling factor for Christopher Nolan’s version of the superhero.
