Do you prefer hitting 8,6,4 irons or 9,7,5?for example if you had to grab only 3 clubs in a hurry would it be the odds or evens?

To the first part.....no idea.
As for the example, I'd take 8/6/4 as you wouldn't see me on the course without a PW.
However, if I was going to the range I'd take 5/7/9.
My favourite range set is 3w/3h/5/7/9. I don't hit drivers or wedges unless it's the day before a comp.
