Aljamain Sterling has gained almost three stone in a week.
‘The Funk Master’ was sporting abs and a chiseled physique as he made the 135lb [9.6 stone] bantamweight limit 24 hours before squaring off against Sean O’Malley at UFC 292 on August 19.

After letting loose for a few days following his shock TKO defeat to ‘Suga’, Sterling hit the scales on Thursday to assess the damge.
The 34-year-old, who documented the post-fight weigh-in for his YouTube subscribers, lifted up his shirt to reveal that his abs were no longer visible.
“I told myself I wasn’t going to get that heavy, but as you can see the process had already begun,” Sterling said as he munched on white chocolate.
After stripping down to his undies, Sterling jumped on the scale and found out he now weighs 175.5lbs [12.5 stone], which is amazingly 40lbs heavier than he was six days prior.

The most successful bantamweight champion of all time grimaced as he put his clothes back on and jokingly said ‘Don’t judge me’ while looking directly at the camera.
Sterling let out a chuckle before the video ended and he travelled to Las Vegas to decompress with his fiancée Rebecca Cruz and a group of their friends.
He captioned several pictures from his post-fight party: “Ratchet Funk unlocked! No fight scheduled or in talks. I’m finally on the vacation I earned!!!”
It’s currently unclear what Sterling’s fighting future will hold.

A win over O’Malley was supposed to trigger a move up to the featherweight division for a potential champion vs champion clash with 145lb king Alexander Volkanovski.
With that fight off the table, Sterling may opt to stay in the division where he's enjoyed so much success, but O’Malley appears to have no interest in granting him an immediate rematch.
The 28-year-old already has one eye on a potential showdown with Marlon Vera, who is the only man to beat him in MMA, at UFC 296 on December 16.
O’Malley has also called out boxing superstar Gervonta Davis and discussed a future fight with featherweight contender Ilia Topuria.
So, Sterling could be waiting a while for his shot at redemption.
For now, he’s happy piling on the pounds while spending time with his nearest and dearest.
