I found the most unusual dip idea over at Real Simple's food blog, and I immediately made it. Wow! It was so satisfying and a perfect thing to spread on whole-grain crackers or whole-wheat pita wedges. Had to share it with you:
Broccoli Dip
*Recipe by Sara Quessenberry, *Real Simple *
(Makes 2 1/3 cups)*
Ingredients
*1 14-ounce bag frozen broccoli, thawed
*1 cup low-fat cottage cheese
*kosher salt
*1 5-ounce package pita chips (or whatever you like to dip)
Preparation:
Puree the broccoli, cottage cheese, and 1/8 teaspoon salt in a food processor until smooth. Serve with the pita chips.
