CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Hundreds showed up for an AT&T job fair in southwest Charlotte Saturday afternoon.
Just 30 minutes after it started Saturday morning, people lined up outside the door of the carriers office on South Stream Boulevard.
The company is hiring 120 technicians in Charlotte because it is expanding one of its products called U-Verse.
AT&T is also hiring for hundreds of other full-time positions across the state.
Applicants have got to be able to do some heavy lifting and some pole-climbing, it is also a customer-based position, so not only are they going to be installing U-Verse they are going to have to explain it to the customer once they have put it in.
